The books spiral is constructed much like a multi-level parking garage, it just happens to be located on the 6th through 9th floor of the building. The glass wall in the center of each floor was necessary, but proved to be a navigational hurdle for many visitors, so we designed a dot pattern to bring attention to pass-through doors. For visitors who take the stairs through the books spiral, the blue directional pylons tell visitors which level they are on and the contents of that level.
